Welcome to sleep apnea  treatment center in Vancouver and Richmond BC

Do you snore? Are you tired in the daytime? Does your bed partner notice you stop breathing in your sleep?
The good news is that there is a very common and effective treatment known as CPAP. CPAP, also know as Continuous Positive Airway Pressure, is a small bedside air pump that attaches to a hose and nasal mask worn by the user at night. The CPAP machine provides a steady flow of pressurized air to prevent a person’s throat from collapsing and waking them in the middle of the night. Thus, a person is able to sleep throughout the night without awakening and feels rested in the morning.  The CPAP keeps blood oxygen levels normal and helps reduce the risk of sleep related hypertension and heart disease.

Coastal Sleep Homecare Services Inc. has been specializing in the treatment and diagnosis of Sleep Apnea since 2002. The staff at Coastal Sleep understands the service and support required for someone to adjust to sleeping with this type of machine at night. Members of our staff and family suffer from sleep apnea themselves.

If you or a loved one thinks they may be suffering from sleep apnea please call our office to speak with one of our Respiratory Therapists. We can answer any questions you may have and if needed, put you in touch with one of the many sleep specialists and Respirologists that we work with. We will be able to provide you with a free overnight oximetry test to send to your doctor. An overnight oximeter is a small, portable oxygen monitor that is worn on your finger while you are sleeping. This monitor records any drops in you oxygen levels at night that may be indicative of apnea events while you are sleeping.
